Bulkley Valley Credit Union Successfully Migrates Public Website from Forge to WordPress

Sprout & Harvest and Bulkley Valley Credit Union (BVCU) are pleased to announce the successful migration of BVCU’s public website, BVCU.com, from the Forge platform to WordPress.

Following Central 1’s 2024 announcement to wind down its Forge digital banking platform, many Canadian credit unions—including BVCU—have been reevaluating their digital strategies and content management system (CMS) options. After careful consideration, BVCU selected WordPress and partnered with Sprout & Harvest to lead the migration.

“Transitioning from Forge to WordPress unlocked new possibilities for BVCU,” said Ron Cann, Founder and CEO of Sprout & Harvest. “With the migration to WordPress we were able to implement more efficient content publishing tools including the systematization of web components to ensure consistent styling and formatting across the website. It also gave us the opportunity to refine several key user experiences—from improved site navigation and more intuitive search functionality to streamlined rates management and a better branch/ATM locator.”

The new website is hosted on WP Engine, a premium WordPress platform with enterprise-level support and Canadian-based data residency—meeting the high standards of security, performance, and compliance that credit unions require.
